Matt & Georgie purchased Piccadilly Spring Farm about 14 years ago  to move the family to the country from the suburbs. Bitten by the truffle bug whilst travelling in Alba, Italy in 2004 they returned to plan and execute their own trufferie. They commenced the huge job of improving the soil, preparing irrigation and planting over 650 inoculated trees ( a mixture of hazelnut, English Oak and Holmoak) in 2013. Harvesting their first commercial crop 5 years later in 2018. Their commitment to organic farming principles and intensive maintenance has seen the trufferie flourish. We are looking forward to an amazing season in 2026.

Quercus Truffles is managed by Matt’s sister Emma who also oversees the hunts with Riley the Weimeraner, Ace the chocolate Labrador and Rowlf the black Labrador for morale.
